Adventurer, Pilot, EntrepreneurQuotes I live by
Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.— Nelson Mandela
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.
― Theodore Roosevelt
Embracing Life's Adventures
Mark Peart has always had a curiosity for life experiences and conquering challenges that were put in front of him. Perhaps that’s why he is guilty of being a ‘serial entrepreneur’, having started over 20 businesses so far.
“I enjoy the challenge of finding solutions, developing ideas, and turning them into reality.”
“I continue to play a key role in a number of these businesses in agriculture and aviation, and feel fortunate to be able to combine some of my passions with my work life.“
My History
I was raised on sheep and cattle properties throughout Queensland, and completed an Associated Diploma of Farm Management at Gatton Agricultural College after school.
After college I worked on cattle stations in the Northern Territory and it was at this time that I fell in love with flying.
Helicopter mustering in outback Australia led to 25 years in aviation flying both fixed-wing and helicopters. I’ve had the privilege to fly around the world and have one of the most diverse aviation experiences in Australia’s general aviation community.
In addition to my Australian and FAA Airline Pilot Licences and a Commercial Helicopter Licence, I also obtained a MBA from Deakin University in Melbourne.
Toowoomba is now home, but I regularly travel back to Northern Australia with my family.
Life & Business Ethos
Early in my life, I realised that the journey was far more important than the destination and that all experiences – good and bad – make up our existence, giving meaning and relevance to who we are.
What is most important is our happiness. When we’re happy, we’re healthy, and when we’re healthy, we’re at peace.
Enjoyment needs to come from our failures, sadness, and mistakes as much as from the good times. When I felt I wasn’t moving forward later in my life, I realised that it was during such difficult times that I grew the most as a person, a husband, a father, and a businessman.
I live by 4 rules:
1. Never give up
2. If you fail – try again
3. Be patient
4. Life can change in a moment, and you have no control over what may be – the universe has a randomness we can’t conceive
In My Spare Time
I’m a keen runner, competing in endurance events for Ironman triathlons and marathons, and enjoy trail running in forests or out in the bush.
My other passions include spending time with family and friends, flying, and caring for my horses and livestock. I also enjoy coming to work every day, seeing my team engaged and happy.

DIT AgTech
Business Founder and CEO
Mark has a long-term, intergenerational view for DIT AgTech. He likens his work with DIT AgTech to planting and nourishing a small tree that will grow over time, but under whose shade he won’t get to sit and enjoy. His vision for DIT AgTech extends beyond his lifetime, and thus, he’s building a team that will take DIT AgTech forward for generations to come. Mark is also concerned about the low level of entrepreneurship in agriculture today. He’s troubled by the capital structure of financial markets in agriculture that restrict young and upcoming farmers from entering the industry. He strongly believes that the only way to move an industry forward is with entrepreneurs – or ‘zero starters’, as he often says – whose risk profile allows them to innovate at a different level of risk, unafraid to fail, and who see failure as a growth tool to become better…

Light Jets Australia
Managing Director and Chief Pilot
Mark’s passion and skill set revolve around recognising opportunities in business and making them commercially viable, with a diverse background in aviation, property development, and agriculture.
His aviation career began with helicopter mustering in outback Australia, leading to 25 years in the industry, flying both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, and launching several aviation companies during that time.
Mark founded Light Jets Australia after identifying a gap in the market for a fully integrated private jet charter company in Australia specialising in light jets.
Flying has been a lifetime passion for Mark. He has had the privilege of flying around the world…

Archerfield Jet Base
Director
In the heart of South-East Queensland, just 20 minutes from Brisbane’s bustling CBD, lies the Archerfield Jet Base, a testament to Mark’s lifelong passion for aviation. As a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) located at Archerfield Airport, this facility is more than just a business for Mark; it’s the realisation of his dream to revolutionise private flying in Brisbane.
The journey began with Mark’s vision to create an efficient, time-saving alternative for private flyers. Tired of the delays and inefficiencies he observed in traditional air travel, Mark established Archerfield Jet Base to offer direct flights into Archerfield, eliminating unnecessary holding patterns and saving valuable time and money for his clients. This initiative reflects Mark’s commitment to efficiency and his understanding of the value of time in our fast-paced world…
